Question: How much does a custom portrait commission cost?
Answer: The cost of a custom portrait commission varies based on factors such as the size of the artwork, the number of people in the portrait and any additional customization requests including add-ons.

Question: Is the portrait painted by hand?
Answer: All paintings are hand painted. The painting is done manually with brushes and oil paint, through a technique called “dry brush”.

Question: What kind of pictures are suitable for a portrait?
Answer: The quality of the portrait will depend a lot on the quality of the reference picture. The picture after which the portrait is painted should be very clear, not foggy, no massive shadows or dark parts on the face of the person, the distance should be neither too far nor too close. Ideally there would be pictures in which that person is photographed up to the shoulders.

Question: What size can I choose?
Answer: The smallest size is 21×30 cm (A4), the largest is 50×65 cm.

Question: What is the turnaround time for a portrait?
Answer: The painting will be done within 2-5 days from the date of placing the order, depending on the workload. Shipping usually takes 1-2 business days in Romania and 3-8 business days for international customers.

Question: Is the background behind the portrait painted?
Answer: The background is usually left white or a gray gradient. If the customer wants a custom background, this can be done at an additional cost.

Question: Can I see how the portrait turned out before shipping?
Answer: Of course, as soon as the portrait is ready, you will receive a picture of the portrait for your approval and for possible changes.

Question: How is shipping done and how long does it take?
Answer: Shipping is free for orders above RON 500 or EUR 100 and is carried out by the courier service of the Romanian Post, Prioripost for customers based in Romania and with DHL for international customers. On request and with an additional cost, the portrait can be sent by any courier.

Question: Is the portrait safe during shipping?
Answer: The portrait will be carefully wrapped in bubble wrap and placed on hard cardboard for maximum safety.

Question: Do you also send outside Romania?
Answer: Yes. International shipping is done with DHL and it’s free for orders above EUR 100.
